Allergic Rhinitis / Conjunctivitis

Allergic rhinitis is a common disorder causing nasal blockage, itching, sneezing, sinus pressure and a constantly runny nose.  The eyes can also become red, watery and itchy.  The ideal therapy for allergic rhinitis involves identifying and avoiding allergens that the patient is allergic to.  These allergens include pollens, molds, dust mite, animal dander, etc., and can be identified most accurately by skin testing performed by an experienced allergist.  Medications and allergy desensitization may be added for treatment of this condition when avoidance measures are unsuccessful.
